In a little settlement by the side of the road a vibrant Catholic community has developed. St. Alphonsus Catholic Church has grown from a log church to an ever expanding parish community. The physical make-up includes the church, Parish Hall (formerly 2-room school), Parish Center (former rectory), St. John Neumann Prayer Center (formerly first parishioner's home), a covered pavilion (formerly barn on local farm), and a small barn (holding a historic buggy). This idyllic setting is enhanced artifacts from earlier parishioners and by a grotto and rosary garden where quiet times can be experienced.

This historic parish of the Toledo Diocese has been built both physically and spiritually by hard working and prayerful people of German and French descent beginning in 1828 through present time. Saint John Neumann walked the very grounds during the mid 1800's where adversity was almost a way of life. St. Alphonsus parishioners have always believed that the Lord would provide for tomorrow when it came and He did and continues to through the faith and talents of a multitude of people.

This site is continually expanding. New material and information are welcome! This website has been created due to the help of many parishioners and other volunteers throughout the diocese.
