Fr, F.X. Tchenhens wa born in the Netherlands on July 24, 1801. He was ordained in 1827 and came to America in June of 1832. He served in many areas of Northwest Ohio until his transfer to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1843. He died in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 10, 1877.
