| Fr. john Wittmer was born at Obererlmsbach, Switzerland, on November 4, 1818. Like many of the early Sanguinist priests, he was ordained at Feldkirch, Austria, on November 21, 1841. He died at Maria Stein, Ohio in 1893. | ||
